Under the theme of "observation" in the season of fresh green, we hiked around the eastern shore of Lake Sayama.

Under clear skies, we gathered at the south side of the embankment of Lake Tama. We then moved by bicycle to a katakuri-no-yu (katakuri-no-yu). We started hiking while reading the map.

We proceeded along the fence past Noyama Kita Park, opened the wire mesh door, and proceeded to the north side. Continue along the single track with fences on both sides without passing anyone. After a while, you will see a waterway on your right that flows into Lake Sayama. This is actually a place where water drawn in by the Tama River flows out into Lake Sayama. This is near where the abandoned village of Nawatake is said to have once stood, giving the area a rather unexplored feel. After a while, you will come to a forest road that circles the northern shore, and the area around the road will become the "Saitama Green Forest Museum. Although it is a museum, there is no large building, and the large site is a nature garden. We will observe trees and insects, and finish sketching our assignment, then have lunch.

After that, we walked along the north bank to Rokudozan Park and Satoyama Minka, and returned to Katakuri-no-yu (Katakuri-no-yu is a hot spring for katakuris). The 15-km walking distance was a pleasant gathering, blessed with fine weather.
